Approved and inspected
Everyone who works to bring you your Christmas turkey is approved and inspected by the local council’s environmental health department and by DEFRA vets.
So are the premises where the turkeys and chickens are kept and prepared for sale, so they meet environmental health regulations.
[ Our history ]
Farming Grove Farm since 1977
1977
The Hubert family comes to Grove Farm, growing arable crops and fattening cattle for market.
1987
Hubert’s Turkeys is established. The logo still carries the date.
1992
The family takes on the neighbouring farm, working alongside neighbouring farmers to improve production.
Today
Gary Hubert and his son Jim rear turkeys and chickens and sell other meats from the farm’s butchery counter.
[ Wildlife on the farm ]
Room for nature
Over the years the farm has taken part in environmental schemes, including:
- woodland planting and management
- hedging
- wildflower, pollen and nectar planting for insects
- wild bird seed mixtures
As a result, we have seen a vast improvement in wildlife on the farm.
